30 years is a hell of a long run and for this big celebration the club relocated from the 70s studded vinyl and flock wallpaper of the Keir Hardie Hall to the distinctly 80s neon and chrome of The Talk.
Whilst the large main room was rocking all night to a mixture of Northern Soul classics peppered with Popcorn and 60s Rn'B, DJs in the smaller second room wowed the audience with a smoother blend of classy Rare and Modern Soull from the 70s and 80s.
Between the two rooms was an excellent retrospective display of posters and tickets stretching back the full 30 years since the club began.
For anyone living in or around the Norwich area the Backstreet! Soul Club is always a quality night out full of friendly faces appreciative of the music played by DJs who've been skilfully working crowds for decades.
Forumusic raises a glass to Mark Chamberlin, the regular DJs and the regulars themselves who contributed to another memorable night out
Here's to the next 30 years.
